William Clegg, carpenter (of the parish of West Chester, Cheshire) in the parish of Brecon on 3 January 1740 at 11 in the night burglariously entered the dwelling house of Samuel Thomas and stole articles of cloth (WALES 4/377/1). Death sentence. No reprieve traced.
